About the Task Force Chair:
Jim Newton, P.E., BCEE, has more than 28 years experience as an environmental engineer. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Engineering Science, a Masters Degree in Engineering Science, and a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering. He has worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, local county governments, for several industries as an environmental manager, and as a consultant to government and industry. Mr. Newton has work experience with hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal issues, air pollution modeling, air pollution treatment systems design and treatment and permitting, water pollution treatment system design and permitting, toxic chemical issues, regulatory development and interpretation, environmental health and safety management system development and implementation, employee health and safety, and sustainability.
